I've been trying to download xcode 4.5 several times on my iMac w/Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2, in my installation log file the following msg is output:

The update was cancelled because the application integrity could not be verified.}

Does anyone know why this is?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    I have the same problem, download ends, installation process begins and when it is supposed to end ... after several minutes indicating that it is installing it automatically cancel the installation and starts the download again without human intervention.

    I have this messages in the console:

    I've exactly the same problem. Unfortunately this solution doesn't cure my problem, I've already tried two times. Does anyone have other ideas to solve this problem?

    "I resolved my problem on 22 September when I found a suggested resolution via Google that said to "First quit the App Store program and then activate Terminal and enter a certain command and then you should be able to download 4.5 without any problem" I did this and it worked perfectly!! Unfortunately I do not remember what the command was & have not been able to find it in my Browser History files. I will try to track it down again & let you know if successful."

    I tried the above steps. The Xcode remains in "installing" state for ever.
