Hi ~

I am currently running OSX Server (Mountain Lion Server) on an old-ish iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4Gb RAM.

I am very probably going to get a new iMac very soon and wanted to understand the best way of performing a clean and simple migration.

Should I simply ensure that the new iMac is running Mountain Lion and is basically "clean" and then follow the normal migration process (so that Server as 'app' and all settings are brought across) or does one set the new machine up as Server first and then migrate?

Any specific advice, tips and caveats would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Gareth
