message storage full  on icloud and inconsistent data

I have two different mail addresses on icloud.

 

On one mail I get constant message  icloud full. In realitiy there there is only 5G used. The free space is 20 G? Why this message?

On the other mail , the info page does not give anu usage statistics.\\

 

 

I had a family package of 5 in mobile me.

Has that diappeared?

 

Info appreciated.

    Yes, there are no family packs for icloud.  For family packs on MobileMe, each account had to be migrated independently to icloud, not just the main account.  If this was not done, then the "other" accounts are now gone.

    I don't have the complicated family pack situation, but in my simple iCloud account, I have 25 GB storage and only 2 GB used.  However, tonight, after deleting some mail items, and then deleting the trash, I received an email from Apple that my storage is used up, and I have to buy more.  Further, emails sent to my iCloud account bounce back to the senders as undeliverable because my mailbox is full.  When I open iCloud System Preferences and try to view my account storage, the Preferences window goes blank and freezes up, and Preferences needs to be Forced Quit.  Wrong, wrong, wrong.  Cause?  Fix?

    Exactly the same thing has happened to me, but on sunday the 23rd. While cleaning out my mailbox I start receiving messages from icloud(noreply@me.com) telling me I'm running out of iCloud Storage(I'd be using 24,1 out of 25GB). Immediately after that another informing me that I'm using 24,8 and then a third one saying I exceeded my limit. Currently I'm trying to get support, but I find it really hard to get support. I keep looping back in the iCloud support pages. In reality I'm using less than 1GB of the allotted 25!? My preference panes do not freeze and are showing the same data as on my iPad/iPhone.

     

    Did you succeed in having an explanation, straighten things out for the good?

    I'm having exactly the same problem, just tidied my email then deleted the trash, a couple of hundred items... Immediately I received three emails saying my storage is almost full, then storage is exceeded.

     

    I checked through iOS on my iPhone and I have 3.8gb available out of the allocated free 5gb?

     

    Did anyone make any headway on this, Apple support pages just send me in circles..

    I'm having exactly the same problem.  I was moving all of my Hotmail email over to my new iCloud account, when I got this message.  I am only using about 0.6 Gb of my 5 Gb iCloud allottment.  When I selected "Get Account Info" in mail, I'm told that I'm currently using 530.4 Mb and that the total available is 31.5 Mb.  What is going on?

    Until now my iCloud mailaccount has not been closed and I really hope this is not going to happen either.

     

    It might have to do with the MobileMe-iCloud transition; there seems to be some kind of glitch for people who had a 20GB MobileMe account. Seems to have been silently prolonged until 30/09/2050; however really can't believe this to be true. A gift whith a value of 38x $40!?

    Penople do respond, but up until know I have not received a worthwhile/intelligent explanation. Apple support must be a bit overtasked with answering Maps app questions and or problems relationg to the IOS 5-6 switch.

    I wouldn't be so sure...  I had exactly the same problem as delay220, but I was never a MobileMe customer.

    Yes, you might be right. It's smelling fishy all te same. I guess there's many more people encountrring the same 3 warnings. Hope things straighten out by themselves...

    Yes to confirm, I do not have a mobileme account... still receiving emails and ICloud is syncing between devices forthe moment.....

    I have this problem too.

     

    I have a message and the bar show I am using 24 Gb and I have only 7Gb data.

    Just adding my voice here- I am having this issue as well! And I don't use iCloud for email or backup to it.

     

    My iCloud tab in System Prefs says I have 561mb of 5gb free, but shows a total of about 13.5mb of use

    Yup I'm having a similar issue. Never a mobile me customer (except for find my iphone I signed up for a long time ago), and now my data usage is blooming up until my 5GB limit, when in reality, I'm supposedly only using 20 MB or so.

    Lot of people, including me, with the same problem here.

    What Apple see on their system seems to be the EXACT opposite of what users see on their devices.

    Storage jumped suddenly from less than 4 GB to 24.8!!! Received warning emails about nearly full iCloud. Called apple support - the guy didn't seem to believe me. He asked whether I can get emails - and that still worked. So he said: You are fine...

     

    I am not!
