So whats the deal, I see there are lots of issues with the wifi and the new operating system ios6, is there a setting fix or do I go to apple to replace phone?

It will not connect to wifi anywhere!

If you are unable to connect with any wi-fi network, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will erase all saved wi-fi networks from the iPhone.

If no change after this, try restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup.

No change after this, your iPhone has a hardware problem.

How can all of these people magically have hardware problems suddenly?  This is clearly a software issue.

If you are unable to connect with ANY wi-fi network and no change after resetting network settings on the iPhone and/or after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, it is not a software problem or EVERYONE running iOS 6 wouldn't be able to connect to ANY wi-fi network which is not the case.

I've done all you suggested and nothing.
    Still don't have wifi.
It's not a hardware problem. It as to be a software problem because a lot of people I know have the same troubles.

    Once again:

So you are saying that a lot, really lot, iphones that "crashed" after the install of iOS 6 and after doing everything you've said, are all with hardware problems when they have never had it before?!

Because it just so hapens that I asked some friends about that and they all told me that all those problems just appeared after istalling the iOS 6.
And Apple Portugal support told me that we must wait until the new iOS lauch to really see what this problem is.

Anyway, thank you for trying to help us Allan, you've done more than portuguese Apple Support. It's a pity that Portuguese Apple Support can't help us rightly as they should do.

It seems as though the only way to for sure fix the problem is to go back to whichever iOS version you had right before you updated to ios6.  This has worked so far until they release a fixed version of the new iOS.  Unfortunately you will have to wait for the new software to stop conflicting with the hardware, which does seem to be in the way the iOS handles different data streams.

You're obviously entitled to your opinion but, it is what worked for us and quite a few others from what I've seen on the forums. Worth a shot for people who aren't grandfathered into the unlimited data and need wifi. Good luck everyone.
