Hey all,

I guess this is another "me too" but there are a couple of things I noticed that I couldn't find discussions for. I'm currently using an iPhone 4S running iOS6. Before I begin I just want to point out that I love my music, couldn't get through the day without it.

I thought I'd start with LitterMines' discussion about Podcasts resuming play after receiving a call, I've noticed this myself and it only appears to happen when you haven't paused the podcast before removing the accessory that you are listening to it through, be it headphones, bluetooth or an iPhone speaker dock. I have had some awkward situations come about because of this. Say I'm listening to a song with some crude language in it on my way to work and then (with customers in the store) I receive a call from my boss that I'm expected to answer, upon ending the call my phone starts screaming profanities at me and anyone within earshot of the speaker. Thankfully most of my customers are well humored but I think it's only a matter of time until my laziness in just unplugging my headphones instead of pausing the music will end in an upset customer and an unfortunate conversation with my boss.

Second is another one that I think has already been discussed but I'm quite confused about. When listening to a podcast, I like to be able to see the tracklist, figure out which tracks I want to listen to and make my own little playlist out of it. The music app did an excellent job at making sure I could synchronise my music experience at all times. Now with the new podcasts app there is no tracklist, instead they've replaced it with an almost retro looking tape player that tells you the same information that you can find at the top of the screen. Why? Don't get me wrong, it does look kind of cool but it seems like productivity replaced with redundancy.

And last is one that I haven't been able to find a discussion on. The podcasts app won't play music unless it is open on your screen, again, why? I love my music but while I'm listening to it I like to be able to check my facebook or twitter feeds or even just play some minecraft. I don't know if it's just me and I'm doing it wrong but this has seriously affected my listening experience.

This isn't intended to be a rant, just a plea to Apple to bring back the good ol' days. As I said previously, I love my music and have always loved the listening experience that iPhones have offered but this podcasts app is unfortunately not what I'm after. Any thoughts on possible fixes for these issues?
