Will my 2007 macbook be able to run snow leopard 10.6?

I was wondering if snow leopard would work with my 2007 white macbook?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

A 2007 MacBook can not run 10.8 Mountain lion.

The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard.

The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion.

The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.

Besides which, 10.6.8 is needed to get the App store before even considering going further. (and personally I'd stick at Snow Leopard).

Snow Leopard DVD:

You can get it only by phone now from Apple.

In the US, call 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask for a sales assistant. Last quoted price was $19.99 for the single-user and $29.99 for the family licence.

For other countries, check here; http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

Don't forget to ask for Sales; the tech support guys can't help.

When you've installed SL it will be 10.6.3. You need to update that to 10.6.8 with the combo installer from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399

Lion is only available by phone also - same number and they'll give you a download code to use in the Mac App Store.
