Q: appleid sorry your session has expired

I'm in the same boat.

Trying to change my iMessage email from apple ID to phone email address on iPhone 5.

I get the exact same problem.

I just ran into this issue and managed to find a workaround. The issue is only present in the mobile version of the verification page that the email sends you to. So, if you follow the link from the email from a computer, rather than a phone, it will work when you enter your appleid and password. I managed to do it from an iPad (I believe you get the non-mobile version from the iPad. A least it looks a lot different than the phone version).

I'm having the same issue on a SoftBank phone--it won't verify despite deleting all alternate e-mail addresses and checking into the iTunes app to "sign in" there, too. I don't know how or where I'm signed in that's the problem. Does anybody have a fix for somebody using a phone e-mail address (no PC access--mobile access only) for use in a country like Japan?

I'm with softbank too. And set my phone email up for imessage. I used the pc work around to fix the problem.

If you have any non iPhone product that can access the Internet I'd try following the link you get sent on it, xbox, ps3, pc, Mac or android. Worth a try!

I was having this problem on a PC trying to set up a Genius Bar reservation.  I tried closing my IE browser but it didn't help.  I got around it by using Google Chrome browser...

I am having the same problem Eliznc, it won't let me make an apointment on my computer.  Is there a reason why?  I am running internet Explorer 11 and windows 7.  ANY HELP would be nice.

Same issue only Chrome worked from PC, Firefox gave an error!
