I have an iOS device with the 30 pin connector.  In the past, I often would download video podcasts and play them on my tv with a 30 pin to composite video cable.  Today I tried to do this with the new Podcast app and it doesn't appear to support video out.  I could hear the podcast on the tv, but the video still continued to play on the iOS device.

I used the iOS video app (where these video podcasts used to show up) to test the setup and I was able to play a movie on the tv with sound so I know its not my setup.

Has anyone else been able to video podcasts in a similar manner as described above?

I figured out a work around.

    1. Right click on the individual podcast in iTunes

    2. Select 'Get Info'

    3. Select the 'Options' tab

    4. Change Media Type to 'Movie'

    5. Click 'OK'

    6. Sync Device

Your podcast will now show up in the Videos app, and can play out to your TV using the cord we all have learned to love.
