    Hey Alex,

I am so glad that you are here to help us with this frustrating situation. I am a college student and can't really afford contract phones. I am getting ready to follow your instructions on trying to get my MMS to work on my iphone 4S At&t go phone plan. I just have one question for you. In your October 4th comment you said "When I went back into Settings now that screen was still open and allowed me to enter my APN settings for Go Phone." Can you tell me what did you enter for your APN setting?

    Thank you so much.

Once you put in the sim card, how to get the MMS APN and put it on the phone? Unless you the  sim card is activated, you can't go online to download an APN from unlocket, so do you save this to the phone first somehow before putting in the unactivated t-mobile sim?

    Any help would be great.

I tried the unlockit APNs and they did not work for me installing them directly from their website.

using the APNs they have for AT&T manually (using tmobile sim trick) worked like a charm.

Will buying an unlock code off eBay allow my iPhone to edit/add these settings once I get the T-Mobile SIM? Would you suspect that the unlock codes are legitimate and actually work?

alexgophone, I went to tmobile, got a sim card and popped it in. restarted my phone. i went into setting and all that, and my phone is still not showing the tab for APN changes. Im attemping the unlockitz right now, but if this doesnt work, then I am literally out of options since I have done every single suggestion on this page. I am also a go phone user and Im at my wits end about this.

I can't send MMS either. BUT, I'm not on a go phone, straight talk, prepaid etc plan; I'm actually under contract with AT&T (till December, at least). I have a data package and have never had issues with my iPhone 4. I started experiencing the same issues as everyone else here when I updated to ios 6. I cannot send MMS messages to anyone outside of iMessage, and I only just got my 3G working by using unlockit's APN changer (switched to wap.cingular). I am still unable to send pix via MMS to anyone outside of iMessage.

I felt this was worth noting because like I said, I am under contract with AT&T and pay for my data/mms etc but I'm having an issue that seems to plague only go phone/prepaid(?) users. I've tried everything in this topic (except the sim trick cuz I'm away on vacation and can't get one) and NOTHING has made mms work. Obviously, I'm losing my mind over this lol. I've reset any setting you could think of, restored my phone, unlockit APN, all that fun stuff. No luck. Tho fixing the 3G data issue rocks, I still need MMS! Please help if you can, I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's not a tab for APN changes it the Cellular Data Settings option under Settings>General> Cellular>Cellular Data (I think).  It's an option that wasn't there before with the AT&T sim card.  And I didn't put in the Tmobile card and then reboot.  I just put in the tmobile card and the settings just appeared after I went into the settings area.  I did not reboot.  The phone will automatically go to the apple screen but you should have gotten to the settings screen by then so they will still be there when you put your AT&T sim back in.

It's VERY particular.  you have to do it fast.

    Hope this helps.

Just retried it without rebooting. My phone showed "no service" which I expected, I went straight into settings, and the options STILL arent there at all. I then exchanged it for my AT&T sim card and still nothing. I also had a friend come over who is on a contract with AT&T, put his sim card into my phone and tried to send a pic, and that didnt work either.

I'm actually under contract with AT&

Call AT&T and have them reset your MMS provisioning.

Well this sounds odd.  Is this an iPhone 4S?  Mine is a 4S not that it should make any difference.

Exactly which options do you have when you put in the tmobile sim?

Also, do you currently have any profiles installed from unlockit?

I have iPhone 4 something. Same problem. I called AT&T and magnificent Rufus in northern Ohio helped me.  Turn off wifi, then go to settings, general, network, and reset all network settings.  Worked perfectly for both phone and iPad.

I have a 3GS on PAYG with AT&T, I have jailbroken my device so I can use Edit APN to fix the settings, which ones did you put in?  I have tried all 5-6 (how ever many that unlockit has) for AT&T and nothing has helped. I can still send regular texts and make and recieve calls, just no MMS.  I can still use iMessage too, never had probs with that, just MMS.  I've been working tiredlessly at this for WEEKS to no avail.  Can I get some help asap please!  I have so many pictures to send to family of my newborn!

If this still fails, do I need to buy DATA from AT&T to make my MMS work?  Does anyone know how to downgrade?  If I do that will it work?

Thanks everyone, I would love to get this solved
