Q: Can't receive email sent to @icloud.com email address

Hi everyone,

 

i have a @me email address from the old mobileme days and it said that we were supposed to get new @icloud addresses. its showing up that there is one on my account, but any mail that gets sent to it gets bounced back to the sender. I also tried creating an alias of the same name without success. Won't let me save it. If any one could help me out that would be great. Thanks

    Checkout this link says you will be notified when you will have access to your "@icloud.com" email. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5441

    Hi there,

     

    I have exactly the same problem. I can choose to send from @me.com or @iCloud.com under properties in my iCloud account (online). Both mails are sent correctly but I am not able to receive mails sent to @icloud.com. Apples mail server are refusing them "mx4.icloud.com.akadns.net [17.172.36.43] #<mx4.icloud.com.akadns.net [17.172.36.43] #5.1.1 SMTP; 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias: deleted@icloud.com> #SMTP#"

    I read the help link and it doesn't answer to my problem. I am able to send e-mails using my @icloud email, but people can not reply to my adress. they receive an error :

    Pretty much the article says everything is loaded and it is showing up in everyone's icloud BUT the main power switch is not on and they will be sending out a email when eveything goes completely live and you can use the new email. so for now the @icloud is not completely working.
