apple motion imovie

am also wndering can you apply this in motion 5/optical, then render/export the clip to be edited in imovie '11 or do I also need FCP X ?

    If you have Motion, you will not also need FCPX to use Optical flow.

     

    Import your video clip into Motion. Select the video clip layer and in the Inspector > Properties > Timing > Frame Blending, switch to Optical Flow. You can also adjust the video clip speed from that section.
