I have been taking beautiful photos with the "new" iPad but all of the sudden all of the photos are grainy. What's happened??? Also, the camera was locking up.  Please help!!

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1, Not sure re OS but it isn't 6

    Grainy photos are usually the result of insufficient light.  Try using more light when taking your pictures.


    As for the lockup issue, try restarting your iPad by holding down the Home and On/Off buttons simultaneously until the silver apple logo appears.

    Thanks Tgara but the photos were very high resolution when i originally took them (with the iPad). It's only just yesterday that they have all turned grainy? Perhaps there is something wrong with the storage???

    It's just as likely an issue with display as it is the file. Have you tried the reset Tgara suggested?

    The problem is due to the complete usage of the iPad's ram,close all the apps and restart the iPad and the problem will no longer persist.

    Hi everyone. Thanks so much for your help. I had solved the lock-up issue already so I hadn't tried the restart but it worked a treat! Photos are back to being beautiful!
