Is there anyone who can help/guide me to achieve the following:

Currently I have 1 mac mini server who acts as a OD master, DNS, MAIL, WEB & VPN server. DHCP is done by the airport extreme. All clients are on the same subnet as the server.

I'd like to configure a few specific clients on a separate subnet. I'd like to give a colleague access over VPN to this specific subnet without him being able to see the clients on my primary subnet. I'm clueless where to begin. Could this be done with VLANs, as in hooking up a VLAN capable switch in between the Airport Extreme and the server? Any help or hint where to start would be appreciated.

Mac OS X (10.7.3)
