    Hey, by the way, any news of Samsung screen repairs for rMBP in Canada? I'm from Calgary, took mine in today and I'll let you know when it's back.

    I'm in Canada and picked my rMBP up this past Sunday. I received a Samsung (part number was 661-7171 on the repair order).

    Edit: I should add that I'm in Ontario.

    I picked up mine repaired a week ago with part number 661-7171 as the serial number for the part. Samsung.

    Vancouver here.

    It's too bad the screen seems a bit yellow and a bit pink at the same time.

    Looks like there are bands of yellow alternating with pink as well.

    @lmaoragequit

    I had my LG screen replaced almost 3 weeks ago and received part # 661-7171, a Samsung screen.

    I'm in Vancouver.

    Anyone notice bands of yellow alternating with normal or pink on their Samsung display?

    Get it calibrated properly. As far as I can tell, London Drugs currently (well, last week anyway) has the best (Canadian) price on the Spyder 4 Pro (better than NCIX).

    Looks more like two light splotches that are most noticable at the bottom of the screen, or 3 gigantic dark splotches, more towards yellow.

    This is a great news! I brought mine to the Apple Store on wednesday and they ordered a #661-7171 replacement screen aswell. I really hope it is a Samsung panel! In about a week I know better...

    Of course the guy from the Apple Store told me that EVERY screen in the world ( ! ) has image-retention but it is not visible most of the time. I just accepted that statement and kept my thoughts to myself... I was just glad that he was very friendly and accepted the image-retention example I showed him as a reason to exchange the display.

    Further, is the viewing angle of everyone's Samsung this crappy?

    My screen is very yellow in the middle, but normal up top. But that changes when I tilt the screen back/ it becomes yellow up top when I do this.

    My orginal post on page 313-

    I have hit the the LSNxxxxxx lottery ! I ordered my standard build Macbook earlier today for in store pick up. Then I starting reading about the LG problems and started worrying. When I got to the Apple store I ask if I could open it and check to see what display it had. They were completely fine with it. The guy that was helping me has heard of the LG issue.  But me being a long time PC user I was unable to correctly enter the terminal command and he wasn't much help. So I left and figured I had 14 days to return it. But when I got to work and finally was able to enter the command correctly there was the beautiful LSNxxxxxx. This is my MAC and I hope it doesn't let me down. I have always bought Dell and almost bought the new XPS 15. Dell has aways been great for me.
