I was wondering if anyone could suggest an easy way to manage your photos? I have not used Mac before, and this application iPhoto drives me mad!!! I want to be able to open my SD card and transfere all photos in certain destination/folder - like on Windows, when you copy paste and one programme opens them all. I hope you get the idea, and waiting for suggestions....thanks

I use Image Capture, which should be in your applications folder. Whether I put the SD card in directly or connect the camera to a USB port Image Capture starts up and offers thumbnails of the pictures, and by default will transfer them to the same directory that I used last time. There I go through them with Graphic Converter (shareware), delete the bad ones (most of them) and transfer the survivors to Year/Month folders.

You kcould try Google Picasa or buy something like Adobe Photoshop Elements or their Lightroom program.

Right iPhoto just doesn't cut it.
