You shouldn't have to persuade them. If you have paid you can download it again. Be sure to use the same account details as you originally used.
Might be an idea to check your RAM. You need 4GB although Apple mentions 2GB

Thanks for your responce, ram not a problem I have 16Gig and HD has 79GIG available, the appstore application would not let me down load again as it looks like it's still downloading.
I have done a restart om my Mac and started the download again however once again stoped at 79.34MG of 4.37GB-Calculating...
I guess this is a Local problem for me as this App (OSX) will be purchased regulaly and this problem would have come up before.
Any other suggestions?

I think you may be right about a local issue. Perhaps your ISP can advise. Otherwise, type 'Mountain Lion will not finish downloading' into Google. There, you will find several references and links.
