I found this and it seemed to help, though I'm not sure which one did it. One note: to get back the original DNS settings you will have to "forget this network" in wifi settings and then sign in again.

Apple intended to do this, they are limiting the search (when it does work) to 25 apps! Have to then search over again, some bs about the servers being overloaded....

No plans for apple to fix this issue....

I started having problems last night with the "search" function in itunes on the ipad 3 with the ios6 update. Was working yesterday. Havent had an issue till last night.  I can see the tabs at the bottom and can navigate to and within those, but trying to search yields nothing.  I type in the search field a music group or song, and the screen is a blank white screen after hitting go...no results, no nothing.  Even the title bar is blank.

I've tried many of the easy suggestions, like restrictions checks, change wifi spots, and some of the easier items listed in these posts....still nothing.

Does anyone have anu suggestions or thoughts?

I started having this issue yesterday on 10/11/12. I can update my apps n go into the store, my problem is I cant use the search feature or the featured apps. They both just show a blank screen. Ive tried all of these supposed "workarounds" but none have worked. The soft reset works for "itunes not connecting" problem that i have from time to time since my IOS6 update but doesnt help with this. This is an Apple problem and nobody can pass the blame on app developers this time. BTW, im using a Iphone 4s so the device doesnt seem to matter as im having the same problem as some Ipad users. Please Fix???

Started happening to me yesterday with my iPhone 5. iPhone 4 with iOS 6 works, as does my son's iPhone 5. Wonder why it picked just one unit not to work. Don't see how it could be on the Apple end, or network availability, considering the above. Rest of the phone works fine, just a white screen in features, charts and search.

What is DFU mode and how can one check to see if it is working properly?

If you have the time, I suggest scheduling an appointment at the Apple store and taking it in.  As I said earlier, they replaced my iPhone 5 and the new unit works perfectly.  Some people have suggested that if you've used passbook at any time, that might create a conflict that prevents the search function in the app store from working.  I don't know about that, but I took my phone in exactly because I didn't want to sit around and wait for a patch (to a problem that Apple wasn't even acknowledging at the time) and I can safely say that swapping out for a new iPhone definitley solves the problem.  For now, anyway.

    DFU mode explained: http://osxdaily.com/2010/06/24/iphone-dfu-mode-explained-and-how-to-enter-dfu-mo de-on-your-iphone/

Be careful, they were unable to get my phone out of DFU mode at the Apple store and that's why they swapped it out.

Thanks for the link and the info eastaval1!

I never used passbook, so I guess I can rule that out.

I have not used Passbook either. My roomate has this same problem on her 4s too. What a pain in the rear this is becoming. Like another poster said, "it will get fixed when Apple starts to notice theyre losing revenue from people buying apps." However, idk how widespread this issue seems to be. Especially since the "Genius' seem tonot have heard of the issue. Taking my phone in to swap for a new one sounds like a huge pain, and this phone is only 4months old too. I will swap for a new one if thats the only fix but dont want/need a new phone. I was planning on getting an Iphone 5 next week but dont wanna deal with these types of bugs. I will upgrade when they fix these never ending kinks.

It really wasn't a huge pain for me, but I understand that it may be a big inconvenience for others.  Personally, I tried all the other solutions recommended online and none of them worked but I guess that's what I get for upgrading my phone so quickly.  Hopefully when you do upgrade they'll have it all sorted out.

For me the iPad doesn't work, but my iPhone 5 works perfectly.

Definitely not a hardware issue as some ppl here are suggesting since 100's of people have posted about this problem since yesterday.

Yeah, it really has no rhyme or reason n doesnt discriminate as to what device it is messing with. Thx every1. I will post a fix if I ever find one.

Yeah, I know it doesn't add up to a hardware issue, I'm just relaying what I was told when I took my phone in.  I can't explain why a new phone solved the problem for me either, I just know that it did.

Perhaps there is some sort of software conflict common to everyone having the issue that we just haven't discovered yet?
