On many web sites I get a blank space with the notice of "blocked plug-in".  In Safari prefences the enable plug-in box is checked.  If I go to the same web site using a different browser (Firefox) there are no problems.  How do I fix this problem in Safari?

OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
