Q: Iphoto will not respond to anything

After trying to clean up my mac and gain some storage space I must have deleted some part of iphoto that is causing it not to open. It bounces but never opens and it will not allow me to rebuild it either. Any suggestions?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

    Restore your backup

you can not ever make any changes to the structure or content of the iPhoto library (or the application for that matter) using the finder  --  you can only do it via iPhoto  --  any other way will cause data loss

Launch TM, go back to a tiem the library was good, select the iPhoto library and click restore

Detailed TM questions are best ask in the TM forum

I deleted some images that were located in teh iphoto folder from teh finder. I thought they were those random images that get downloaded off the internet. Since then the picture for the iphoto icon has changes and when I click the icon it bounces just once but never opens. If I try to open it through the finder it does not respond. I tried holding option command while trying to open but it responds teh same way. I am really confused as what to do. I have searched lots of forums and have not found anything similar. Thank you for your time.

What happens when you use time machine to restore a version of the library from before you corrupted the library?

I go through the process of restoring and it acts like it is restorning it but nothing changes. The image for the iphoto icon remains the same and it still will not open, it only bounces onces and thats it.
