you can not ever make any changes to the structure or content of the iPhoto library (or the application for that matter) using the finder -- you can only do it via iPhoto -- any other way will cause data loss

Oct 12, 2012 9:11 PM in response to LarryHNby Tikemire,I figured as much. I am not sure how to restore my backup. I use an eh for time machine but im not sure how to restore from that. any advise is greatly appreciated.

Oct 13, 2012 4:50 PM in response to LarryHNby Tikemire,I deleted some images that were located in teh iphoto folder from teh finder. I thought they were those random images that get downloaded off the internet. Since then the picture for the iphoto icon has changes and when I click the icon it bounces just once but never opens. If I try to open it through the finder it does not respond. I tried holding option command while trying to open but it responds teh same way. I am really confused as what to do. I have searched lots of forums and have not found anything similar. Thank you for your time.

Oct 14, 2012 11:59 PM in response to LarryHNby Tikemire,I go through the process of restoring and it acts like it is restorning it but nothing changes. The image for the iphoto icon remains the same and it still will not open, it only bounces onces and thats it.
