After clearing a paper jam, my (IPP) HP laser jet keeps giving "printer busy". I've emptied the queue, deleted and re-installed the printer in preferences and rebooted but problem persists. Printer works fine for other computers on the home network. Any suggestions?

    How about this?

Another suggestion, if you haven't tried this already, is to disconnect A/C power to the printer, wait 5 minutes and then reconnect.

Which model of HP LaserJet? You might find helpful info here.

Apologies if you've already tried this, but perhaps:

    1. In Print & Scan Prefs, delete printer.
    2. Then reinstall latest drivers from Apple Support link above, and restart.
    3. Then go to Print & Scan Prefs and re-add printer.

Is there possibly an alternative to IPP?

    Okay. How about clearing caches?

I use OnyX. However, it's important with OnyX to be very careful about what you tell it to do.

I am thinking of clearing the CUPS jobs cache in the "Cleaning" tab/System tab. Also clearing font caches in the Fonts tab of "Cleaning."
