Spaces and Exposé have been merged into the Mission Control application (sort of).
After you launch Mission Control, you can click th plus sign in the upper right to add a "Space" (now called Desktop). You can only add "spaces" horizontally now. You can switch spaces with a 3 finger left or right swipe.

If you have arrow keys, you can go from desktop to desktop using control and left/right arrow key.
If you want the desktops to stay in the same order (like spaces), go System Preferences/Mission Control and uncheck the second box down (Automatically.....).
