I'm really getting upset with Apple. I've had this same issue... It will eventually work for a little while, but then will freeze and I have to reboot, only to get stuck on the What's New screen. Why would they put out an update that doesn't work, and why don't they remedy the problem?

Exactly our problem as well.
Netfilx will freeze about halfway through a show now, and a reboot puts us at the "What's New" page for 5-10 minutes, then works for about another 30 minutes,
then repeat, over and over again...

Having same problem. Also keep getting disconnected with error 3906.

EXACT same problem.
Netflix, usually, will kick out after about 30 45 minutes, then will get stuck on "Accessing Netflix" for as long as you want to wait. We have to unplug the AppleTV 2, plug it back in. When it comes back up, we sit and stare at the "What's New" screen until the time we set for screen saver (5 minutes), kicks in, then we can control with the Remote App (lost the controller 2 years ago). If we use the Remote app, you can hear it clicking on things behind the "What's New" app until the the screen save kicks in, then you can "wake" it up and you will see the normal front browse page.
Wait another 30-45 minutes, "Accessing Netflix", restart, wait at "What's New", etc... It is absolutely not our internet. Solid 24/7. I work at home connected to multiple VPNetworks throughout the day, lots of data moving back and forth, Never an issue.
Beyond annoying. Agreed!

Same issue. I know that this seems to be a recurrent theme, but I am also having the issue of not being able to download new movies. Hopefully someone will have a look at this soon as I have spent money on stuff I cannot use because of what seems to be a defective update!

I just did the update on my iTunes and AppleTV. Now all my movies seem to take forever as if it's streaming it seems to take an hour to upload half the movie and then stops half way. I never had a problem before the upgrade.

This happens every time I restart my AppleTV (2.0). Apple, PLEASE fix. I only am using the remote app on iPhone or iPod Touch.
On my AppleTV this screen goes away after about 5 minutes but I can't click "continue" to make it go away. Just have to wait it out. :-(
