My iPhone was always good but I had the app search issue with my New iPad. Like everyone else, all is good and works like an apple device should. Thanks for the quick fix Apple!!!...you don't get that kind of response from android

I had apple on the phone today and they admitted they had a"Houston We Have A Situation" problem. Lol. All is now ok with the app store.

I'm still having this issue on my iphone5. Searching in the app store just gives a blanck white page. Has this really been resolved. It hasn't worked from me all the yesterday and now it's a new day. Please advise. Thanks.

I would give it a day or two. Mine cleared up on its own yesterday, and others said the same thing a day before mine did. Who knows what is going on, but it still might come back for you soon.

I had this and tried absolutely everything before resetting. However nothing worked. The only way this worked for me is:
Erase All Content and Settings
Then follow from there. It would be wise to ensure that you have backed the phone up to iCloud or iTunes prior to doing this.

IF you have downloads pending on your iPhone the app store will not show up!!
Check on your phone to see if anything is downloading or isn't finished downloading...

i hate this ****, i called applecare and they treat you like you are some sort of imbecile.
"are you connected to wifi"
"have you tried force closing app store"
"have you tried restarting your phone"
yes, yes, yes. Now my turn, are your technicians aware of this problems?
Are they working on this issue?
Is there an update coming so I do not have to reset my phone?
Her answer, not sure, not sure, not sure.
My followup question, can you please document this error with app store so technicians can resolve it, or at least know how many people are calling regarding this same issue?
Her answer, I cant do that.
Im going back to android. On android you can clear app settings and data on a per app basis, this is bs.

I had the exact same problem on my Ipad 3. I was able to fix it by changing my DNS settings to 220.127.116.11. And then back to again. Thanks for the help.

That would only work for wifi I guess because I'm using an iPhone and on G3 or LTE network I don't see where you can change the DNS??

Hi there. I had the same problem started yesterday. Today I tried pressing the talk button next to the space bar and spoke a search. Hey presto it searched. So then I tried typing in a search again and it worked. All good now. This was on iPhone 5. Worth a try.

It is frustrating, but mine is working now. The night before my scheduled appointment at the Apple Store with the Genius Bar, I backed up my iPad2, shut it down, restarted it, synched it, and then went to sleep.
In the morning, 10 minutes before my Genius Bar appointment, I tried it again - and it worked. I was torn between still showing up for my appointmnet and getting some answers, vs. staying with my seven year old and doing stuff at home.
The seven year old won.
Bottom line is that I tried some of the fixes on this thread... nothing seemed to work. I NEVER did a restore... I only did a backup in the unlikely event that the Genius Bar handed me a new iPad...
I guess... wait it out. Maybe try to back it up? Make your own appointment at the Genius Bar (and maybe they'll somehow magically push the fix before you show up)...
I don't know the answer... or how to explain it.
All I know is that it's working again.

What's going on with this company? Why every year gets worse? They fired a good programmers? Sorry for bad English. I love this company, but the number of bugs over time, not decrease, and only growing.
Search works for me very badly. AppStore finds only some applications. I have to search for them in Google, then open link in the iTunes AppStore! Omg

I have the same problem with an iPhone 4S, with the iOS 6.1.1. Blank screen in the update of App Store. Any Ideas?
