We have rented 2 movies from Apple TV, at least according to the information that shows on the screen. When we press the play button, the screen changes and appears to be downloading the movie, after about 2-3 minutes a message appears on the screen appears that there is an error in the content, the movie can not be downloaded, try at a later time. The Net flix feature still works via the Apple TV, so I believe that the connection is good, The movies just don't down load. One produces the error message, the other looks as if it is loading, the signal is going round and round, but no time is being indicated as content being loaded into Apple Tv

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

Is this the first time that you have rented movies from iTunes or have you successfully rented them before.

    Winston,

Thank you for your response, We have had the Apple TV for almost 2 years, this has happened once or twice before and I believe it was related to I-Tunes having difficulty at their end sending the movies out.  I have unplugged the Apple TV device and had it reboot, but that didn't help.  I Tunes refunded me for the purchase of the movies that I can't download but did not address the original problem of the movies not being able to be downladed.  I checked my account and everything looks in order.  I will continue to fumble around, I'am  68 years old, and not a wizard with the computer

    Thank you

Have you tried restarting the router too.

We don't have a "router"., but we have a router like unit, it provides TV to all our television, computer internet, telephone service, and gives our house wireless internet connectivity.  As of now everything is working well, reception great on all TVs, obviously internet is working.  The warning I'm getting from Apple is "An error in your content has occurred" please try again later.  As though they can not send the movie and I should try later. This however has been occurring for about the last 48 hours.  Im not getting to much help from I Tunes other than they took the charges off my bill for the two movies I didn't get to download.
