I've moved from BB to iPhone5 (at last) and would like to be able to make my iPhone screen black out after a pre-determined period of time, but not lock.  Then after a separate period of time of inactivity the phone should lock (good security measures).  Having looked, it doesnt look like this is possible, to make the screen black out the phone MUST lock.

Im trying to maintain a balance between security and power consumption, and its a little annoying having to keep unlocking the screen every time, just because thats the only way to make the screen black out.

Anyone got any ideas, are there any apps that provide this functionality, or are Apple planning on adding this as a feature at some point?

Thanks,

Ant
