Q: ical invitations don't go through

When I send ical invitations, they don't reach the destination. They used to show up in my sent mail folder but they don't anymore and my friends aren't getting my invitations. Why?

I think I fixed it. I just went to my CARD in iCloud and added my @icloud.com email address to my card. I set it for the HOME category and have not checked to see if it works as OTHER but I am now sending invitations to my test accounts.
