I have requested AT&T for an unlock code but since my 2 year contract aint up, AT&T will not help me

I didnt know that if you purchase a phone from AT&T and you upgrade to a new model, your old original equipment still needs to be older than 2years in order to be eligable for an unlock.

Glad to hear it worked for you.  Would you mind posting why it took you 15 tries and what you did wrong on those tries to help the other unfortunate souls on this board.

    Thanks!

    Alex

I'm trying to input the data but do I need that special character that looks like an envelope in the username?  If so,how do I type that in?

Thanks ricstone, it worked finally!  That was a pain the rear to get it to work, tried a half dozen times.  Lets hope we don't have to go through this again after the next iOS update.

I already contacted AT&T about this issue but then i started asking different Iphone users with tmobile, sprint, verizon and they seem to have issues also. I truly believe is apple and they need to fix this iOS 6 bug that is making us either have many failed attempts when sending mms or taking too long while sending mms wether another smartphone or apple user.

So I got my tmobile sim and after reading that it seemed like the phone had to be unlocked I called att and they unlocked it...or they said that they had unlocked it.....I don't know how I would know. So I put in the tmobile sim and no menu. I tried all sorts of turning it off and on and various setting changes(wifi, data, etc). No menu. So I'm fairly stuck. Anyone have any ideas?

Plug your iphone into your computer and hit restore. It has to update your phone as unlocked, don't worry you can't restore from backup takes about 10-15 minutes. For some reason att apn mms settings are not getting put in with ios 6 this is a huge problem. I don't understand why apple would push out ios 6 with all these bugs. I updated in day 1 of the release and finally got mms to work last night after unlocking the phone. Missed out in a lot of pictures because of it, does anyone know how long sent mms stays in the system or gets back logged for cause I still haven't received any of them after the fix
