Check with manual or someone at dealership and see if your car is A2DP compatible for bluetooth. I have the same issue with my Chevy Cruze (2012).

Thank you for the response, but my car is A2DP compatible... I mentioned that it successfully connects with my iPhone 4S, so this doesn't help me.

i actually got the same problem with both my iphone 4s and my nano 7th gen to my macbook pro! :-(

Are you syning your 4s to play music or to use the HandsFree phone funcions. They are not the same.

You can only pair your iPhone 4s to the computer for tethering, you can't sync with it. Are you trying to pair your 7th gen to play music through the MBP speakers?
