So, it appears as though Apple as intentionally broken Software Update so that it will disregard Bootcamp on Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit).  Everytime I run it, it does nothing; it doesn't even bother telling me my "software is up-to-date."  The progress bar appears, and then it disappears.  Apple's help pages say in order to get the latest version of Software Update (the working version I presume), you have to install iTunes, Quicktime, or Safari.  Well, I don't want to install any of those; I shouldn't have to.  I am able to get up to Bootcamp 3.3 by manually downloading the installers, but Apple refuses to release a manual download for 4.0.  Anybody found a work around for this?

 

 

And why I think Apple is behind this is because it use to work no problem, I think ever since the Mountain Lion update.
