Q: iPhone 5 not printing

Since I bought the iPhone 5, I can't print from my HP AirPrint compliant printer, Officejet 6500A Plus. My iPhone 4 worked perfectly. So what happens is when I select an email or page to print it will see the printer. When I hit print, it will through the motions on the phone, but the printer does not come to life and print.

Any ideas?

Hey Marv, have you checked to see if there is a print job stuck in the queue on your phone?  Press the home button twice to open the multitasking bar and see if the Airprint icon is displayed (maybe with a red number in the corner).  If so, tap it to bring up the Airprint app.  Delete any print jobs that might be pending, and try to print again.  See if that helps.

    Hi Thara,

    YES!!!!! That worked!!! So I think the combination of resetting the router and deleting the backed up print jobs fixed the problem!! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GREAT HELP!!! Have an awesome weekend!!!

    I'm a little discouraged that I didn't think of that fix earlier, because it's one of several basic troubleshooting steps for printing.  Getting old, I guess.
