Apple MusiciTunes Store: Which types of items can I buy in my country?
Click the round flag icon bottom right corner of the iTunes Store window.
If you don't see your country, then it's not possible to purchase iTunes media.

Feb 29, 2012 5:39 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby claudefromkigali,Dear Carolyn,
I have clicked the round flag and it is very unfortunate because my country (Rwanda) is not listed. However this brings me back to my 2nd question: What is required for a country to be listed? Anyone can help answering this???

Feb 29, 2012 7:43 AM in response to claudefromkigaliby varjak paw,An iTunes Store will come to your country when Apple can work out all the multitude of licensing, copyright and royalty issues with all the various entities that hold the distribution rights in your country, along with any legal and infrastructure issues that might arise. When or indeed if that will happen, no one outside of Apple can say, if even they know, and Apple won't speak to the subject until they're ready to officially announce. Anything anyone here could say would be just rumor and speculation, and neither are allowed in the Discussions.
Sorry, but for the foreseeable future, you will not have access to an iTunes Store.
Regards.

Jul 8, 2012 3:49 PM in response to Carolyn Samitby rpravia,If my country of residence (Costa Rica) is listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3599 for at least some Apple media products, then, shoulnd't that mean that I should be able to choose Costa Rica as my country for billing purposes? That's the problem I'm having, I'm not able to pass the Apple store's billing address validation tests because I can't type in "Costa Rica" as my country and while avoiding to select a U.S. state from the dropdown list of values. If I go along and make a state selection, then it further validates both zip code and phone number formatting against the corresponding locale standards. In the end, I'm unable to provide my phone number in its true format, and, overall, the information fails to be as accurate as possible. I'm not sure if Apple has already thought of a workaround for this. If so, please share...

Jul 9, 2012 7:19 AM in response to rpraviaby varjak paw,It would appear that iTunes is set to the wrong country and that you're incorrectly viewing the US iTunes Store. In iTunes go to the bottom of the iTunes Store main page and look for either the "Change Country" link or the round "flag" icon. Click on either and select your country from the list. Then try putting in your billing information.
Regards.
