What are you talking about? Neither I nor anyone I know who has updated their iDevices to iOS 6 are having any problems whatsoever.  There's no official update needed.

If you're having battery issues, search this forum for troubleshooting tips.

Most have no issue at all.  I know no one with this issue

    Have you tried the basics?

I've seen a bunch of posts from this person, and while he/she tends to be on the a little on the rude side, to be fair, your question was little hard to understand.  Nevertheless, the abruptness is unwarranted.  We all come here for answers, and not everyone speaks English as a first language.  No one should be treated like an imbecile here.

It looks like a lot of people are having issues with battery power following ios6 upgrade, and that it is not your imagination, but I have not seen any answers on how to sort it out.  I'm looking for the answer, as well.  If I find one, I'll come back!.

Actually, there are not a lot of people experiencing battery issues with iOS 6.

With every iOS update there are people that report battery issues.

With every iOS update there are people that report dramatically improved battery life.

With every iOS update the VAST majority of users report nothing because there is no need to come here and post that their battery life has not changed noticeably.

A simple search of the forums will prove the above true.

A simple search of the forums will provide a multitude of troubleshooting steps beyond the basics from the User's Guide as well as methods to reduce battery drain.

    Hi,

There to all in this subject,

There is in fact huge amount of users with iPhone 4 and 4s that are having "drain" battery only after iOS 6 update.

The facts are simple just pass on NY store and you can see that.

The problems aren't basic issues solving.

The battery drains very quick with no use on the phone at all, some uses with all option off like Bluetooth , location, notification , mail accounts deleted , no sim installed the battery is drain in few hours 3 , without just been on the table in standby.

This report users that own the iPhones are consistent with the new update for iOS 6 that will be issue soon.

Is not the only anomaly the battery drain.

So to answer is no official fix to this issue yet.

Is a software issue many users had rollback iOs and the problem vanish.

Hope this answer help clarifying .

    Best regards

    Paul

I myself am experiencing a severe battery drain since updating to IOs 6. I charged my phone overnight and the battery was at 100% when I unplugged it this morning. I've only received 2 text messages (only app I have running) and in roughly 3 hours my battery is down to 50%.

So yes there is a problem as my wife is having the same problem on hers.Prior to the new IOs update, I could check my email, send/receive text messages, run some of the other apps I have on my phone and by the end of the day my battery would still be at around 85% charged.

With the latest problems with battery and others that I am experiencing it's definitely putting the thought that I might start looking at other options for a smartphone. Not sure I want to spend the money on another iPhone to experience the same problems. I'm a typical die-hard Apple person (I only own Apple computers), 2 iPads, etc... so it's not a lack of knowledge of the products. This is the first update that has really made me question the direction of the products operating system.

Just spoke to apple care, for the battery drainages issue, they recommended connecting my iphone 4s to my computer and doing a back-up then restore it. If that did not fix the issue, then try a restore as a new device to see if that corrects the issue.  Lastly they recommended to bring my phone to an apple store to check the hardware if the previoius 2 recommendations had no effect.

Well, those are basic troubleshooting steps as described in the User's Guide.  It's only logical that they would advise users to actually do the steps documented in the User's Guide.

Tried what apple recommended for my 4s, no help.  I took the phone to Apple and the tech just said you'll have to wait for the update to come out.  My wife has now noticed on her iphone 4 that her battery is not lasting as long as it used to!
