Oct 20, 2012 8:16 AM in response to Ray16190by Paul_31,That's a shame. Did you look at some of the people's comments at the bottom of the article:

There are a few other suggestions that seem to work for some and might be worth a try.

Oct 23, 2012 11:26 AM in response to Ray16190by BDAqua,Hi Ray, no idea what is mentioned in those other links, but...
this has worked for a few...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
10.7 & 10.8…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Click OK.

Oct 27, 2012 11:17 AM in response to Ray16190by BDAqua,To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

you can search "Lan-to-Lan" and "Lan-to-WAN" for more information.

May 24, 2016 8:21 PM in response to Ray16190by halear0,I wrote a program that automatically renews the DHCP lease for seamless internet connection. I have the program with instructions here: https://sites.google.com/site/wifimacfix/
Unfortunately nothing else worked for me. Hope this helps! If it does, please donate
