Error Code = 4MOT 40000003: HDD-1349

Anyone have any idea what I need to do?

Computer keeps freezing and/or will not boot!

Thank you!

That code says there is either a problem with the fan on your hard drive or a hard drive issue. You could install iStat Pro to see what the fans are doing or not doing.  You are probably going to have to take it in for service to get an exact answer. If you don't have one now, making a backup would be a good move.

Thanks for reply.  Hard for me to determine if it's fan(s) or Hard Drive.  Noticed since iTunes upgrade, my computer gets louder (fans) and freezes.  I'm not sure if there's a link to that or if it's one of the apps that causes my computer to seriously freeze up and get louder.  iStat Pro, have it, but honestly don't know what the "Norm" for everything is suppose to be.  i.e. fans, temps, memory, etc etc . . .

Temperature Monitor, which I use instead, only provides upper and lower limits for CPU cores: 0°-99°C. Usually, HD manufacturers provide HD temp data. E.g., for my 1 TB, Seagate ST31000528AS int HD, it's:

    Ambient temperature

Ambient temperature is defined as the temperature of the environment immediately surrounding the drive. Actual drive case temperature should not exceed 69°C (156°F) within the operating ambient conditions.

       Operating:          0° to 60°C (32° to 140°F)

       Nonoperating:          –40° to 70°C (–40° to 158°F)

Trying Temp Monitor - but specified upper and lower limit columns are blank.  I see where the Ambient temp is, but I don't get a Operating/Nonoperating window or option.  Thank you baltwo.

You've misread my post. The HD temp info comes from the HD manufacturer's manual, in this case Seagate, not Temp Monitor.

I may have found additional information regarding why computer has been freezing and such.  It's a disscussion in here.

Lion graphics extremely slow with Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB

Anytime I launch something with a lot of graphics, computer slows, freezes up and fans run high?!

    I don't know.  LOL

What I do know is this; before the latest iTunes upgrad and before I upgraded to Lion, everything was fine!!!

    Thanks for reading.
