I would think a keyboard cover wouldn't not be any thinner than a palm rest protector, so the same should apply. But that is just an educated guess. A hard protective case is fine.

Thanks for your reply.
The keyboard protector that I got is Moshi's. They said it's extremely thin, will it be still a problem? Because as I compared with the palm rest protector, it's much thinner.
Here is the link for reference: http://store.apple.com/us/product/TV901LL/A/moshi-clearguard-keyboard-protector- for-aluminum-macbook-and-macbook-pro
And, the hard case that I mean is something like Kuzy sold in Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Kuzy-Crystal-15-4-Inch-MacBook-Display/dp/B008B09LRY/ref=s r_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1350354859&sr=8-4&keywords=kuzy+macbook+pro+retina)
Any further opinion on this issue?

I would refrain from using the keyboard cover. It is restricting airflow and smothering the keys. I'm not an expert, just my opinion. I keep my mac nude, as it came from the factory.

There is no airflow from under the keyboard and the display does not come in contact with the keyboard. The edge of the display comes in direct contact with the palm rest so that is different. I am using the Moshi Clearguard with the the retina MBP but I am extremely dissapointed in it. They claim it was "adjusted" to fit the retina keyboard but it clearly was not. It does not even fit correctly in the depression for the keyboard without cutting the Clearguard around all the edges. It also does not sit flush with the surface of the keys since the height of the keys are fractionally shorter then the standard MBP keyboard. I asked them if it would fit properly on a retina MBP before I purchased it and they said yes. They lied.

Thanks for the reply.
I also agree about Moshi keyboard cover, it doesn't really fit with retina MacBook PRo's keyboard.
So, in conclusion it's safe to use keyboard cover and palm rest protector, but it's not aafe to use palm rest protector.

Has anyone tried the Kuzy combo pack to see if it fits with the Macbook Pro Retina 15" or not? As well does the hard case block any of the air vents?

I use the Kuzy combo pack for the 13" Retina and it fits quite well. The keyboard cover is cut perfectly, but the cover, unfortunately, doesn't let any of the keyboard's backlight through. Also, the bottom clip on my case broke, but it still fits well enough that I'm confident of it's protection. Everything is snug in the combo pack!

Did you notice markings from the Kuzy cover on the screen? I found that as a problem with my previous macbookpro models.

After awhile, yes, I noticed removable marks on the screen. However, it only happens if I don't wash the keyboard cover for awhile. To be honest, I have been going without it for awhile now though. I still use it when I know I'll be home typing a lot, but for mobile use, the keyboard cover usually doesn't go with me.
