My downloads folder in my User folder hasn't been showing my downloads for a while, but the one in my dock has, so have only been able to view downloads from the dock.  Accidentally deleted the downloads folder from my dock while trying to fix this, and if I drag the user downloads folder to the dock, or double click on it, it just comes up with this message in Terminal:

(in the grey bar it's entitled: Downloads--bash--80x24)

When I try to access my downloaded material via the downloads folder on Safari it just brings me to the downloads folder in the user folder, but nothing comes up.

Please help me get my downloads back!!!

**I think this all started when my iPhoto wouldn't open and from a forum I got the advice to move my iPhoto folder to my User folder, I did so and iPhoto has been working however, it's now in my User folder as opposed to my Pictures folder... not sure if this would have anything to do with it???  But I think it's about since then that my User downloads folder hasn't been working.
