This error just started for me as well, after I completed a full re-sync to put all my calendar events into Outlook 2010. The error messages only begins after the first alert pops up, as far as I can tell. Then you have to do as mcoppock describes.
We shall wait patiently until this gets fixed...

I have identical problem. Tried everything I can think of to fix, including deleting Exchange Account from Calendatr and adding again using Mail, Contact & Calendars System Preference. Any suggestions?

I did not have this issue with Lion, and according to my recollection, I didn't have it with Mountain Lion at first. I suspect that Microsoft must have changed some protocols in Exchange. That doesn't excuse the fact that Apple hasn't issued a fix yet. It's a maddening problem.

Same here. I have one Calendar event which keeps on popping up that message even though there are no invitees in the event.
