Keynote cant do this.
The absolute best solution is to use the software supplied with the interactive white boards from
Promethian Quizdom or Softwall, but you have to own one of the boards to be able to get the software.
What we do is use Stikies, but Text Edit or Pages will do also, they are allready installed on our Macs and dont incur any extra expence. Just use applicatiion switcher (alt tab) to show the annotation application and go back to Keynote when done.
Paintbrush is a free drawing and painting application and works OK:
The other option is to buy one of the dedicated scrren annotation applications:

Thanks, I was afraid I had to leave Keynote do this which I didn´t want. I was hoping there was a way inside the app that I just coudn´t find.
Anyway, I will look into your suggestions. Thanks
