Export from Chrome and then import to Safari.
One web page gave these instructions:
- Select 'Bookmark Manager' in Chrome
- Click Organize
- Select 'Export Bookmarks'
- Select File/Import Bookmarks in Safari
Here is a Chrome page about it:

Unfortunately you loose any bookmarks which do not have a name (i.e. icon only).
Most of the items in my bookmarks bar are icon only (so I can fit more in and find them faster).

That is interesting. I don't have Chrome so cannot test this but it works with all my other browsers - icon only is normally a display option for most people/browsers - all my bookmarks have both icons and names and I choose what to display.
