I got cut off from the stream, but I can't see any mention of it in a blog covering the event. Was hoping it would be today.

Sorry!! Apple hadn't mentioned anything regarding iTunes 11. I think it will be released with iOS 6.0.1 update in October itself because Apple website still says iTunes 11 coming in October....

I wasn't surprised they mentioned nothing yesterday. On http://www.apple.com/ in the iTunes tab it states (and has been for months, so talking about it would be fairly pointless) "coming in October"... Being Oct 24th today, we have 7 days left before we can really say, ***???? Where is it?
Given how ios6.0 hasn't gone as well as they hoped (forget all the problems they claim 6.0.1 is supposed to fix when it eventually comes out, I'm cursing my ipod touch 4g almost daily for its music player app instability since the upgrade -- horrible cable sync times, random pauses, stops, skips, garbled plays especially using the earphone remote, etc....), they might actually be paying a bit more attention for a change to quality control on iTunes.
I'm personally not fussy about the redesigned UI (I might be surprised, it might actually be easier to use than the one out now, but we'll see...)... I'm used to the old one, don't see a need for the new features and will probably resist updating for as long as possible.
As for a release date, I would guess late this coming Friday (I vaguely recall a previous iTunes was released end of week and iOS 5 meant for the following tuesday was delayed by nearly two weeks). My prediction, puts iTunes sometime on the 26th, possibly 10:00 am Pacific time or there abouts.

Yes, since the upgrade to IOS 6 I too have the same issues that pegaudet has with the iPod Touch 4G i.e. app crashes, super slow email access and message content downloads, music player app instability, horrible cable sync times, random pauses, stops, skips, among others. I sure hope 6.1 update will take care of it all. But this is not the first time, I've lately noticed that Apple's new IOS releases and Mac OS releases have issues. Too bad Steve Jobs is no longer around RIP.

iTunes 11 delayed into 'end of November'
Apple says it needs a little longer to finish up work on iTunes 11.

Itunes 11 totally *****. My devides are now not recognized and I was on hold for almost 20 minutes waiting for a response from apple care. I was told I had to shut down my system and reset the bluetooth antenna....what a pain.....why can't they just leave it alone??????
