Q: Does anybody remember the demos that came with the Mac OS 7, '95-'96ish? I remember spin doctor, amazon trail, dino tycoon and others being on it.  Does anybody remember some colored balls which you could move around on a black background with music?

System 7 came with some very classic, fun, interesting games.

The game that you are thinking of was called "Firefall." The game was made by Pangea Software.

If you're still wondering, I believe the balls were part of a demo called "Thinkin' Things". I still have it on a Performa 630CD. I don't know about buying animals, but it has several parts of the demo that feature animals, with one where you make them.
