APOLOGIES for cross-posting,

Originally in iChat discussion and then mistakenly in SL 10.6.8  rather than Server...

40 users... Since Monday no-one can access iChat... default is for client macs to open with iChat switched on and available...

currently clients' macs open iChat with request for Username (already populated) and Password (blank),

default iChat passwords are same as login password, but iChat will not accept these...

I switched off the iChat service at the server, waited , and then switched back on - no difference... still cannot connect to iChat...

We DID have a pre planned power outage at the weekend, Server was powered down Friday 16.30 and only restarted Monday 08.00hrs...coincidence?

Don't know if logs and terminal report help?
