Oct 24, 2012 9:16 AM in response to praveenkayby NwonNowhere,Got my new iPhone 5 today - tried to connect to my Logitech Wireless Boombox BT speaker to no avail - the iPhone appears to not even see any of several compatible bluetooth devices that I have switched on within reach. My Macbook Pro Retina Display finds my iPhone, so the bluetooth is working to some degree, its just that the phone itself fails to locate any devices in bluetooth discovery and just endlessly goes on and on searching....

Oct 24, 2012 8:04 PM in response to dino75by Flashx1,Yep, tried that and on my wife's car same problem - I can stream audio to the car, but when a call comes in - it hangs, nothing happens - I might as well not have a bluetooth hands free. Still doesn't work with my Heart Rate monitor.
It's an Apple problem .. I reported it all to them in writing in detail and am still waiting to hear from "engineering".
I must say I really dislike the way they just blame everyone else and insist everyone else has to change to meet their deficiencies.
Bluetooth is Bluetooth, and industry standard - you can't expect them to change to standard to Apple's poor implementation of Bluetooth.
Apple needs to go back to the Bluetooth chipset and not try to emulate the capability, and replace all iPhone 5 handsets

Oct 25, 2012 6:50 AM in response to praveenkayby Laura Jones4,Well I just got off the phone with HandsFreeLink. They are aware of the iPhone 5's connection issues and are now in testing. Bad news....they will not have results until the second week of November. If they find it to be incompatible then they can do nothing about it. They do not do updates for the bluetooth. If it is imcompatible, then the issue is with Apple.
I've only had the phone since last Saturday and I'm seriously thinking of taking it back. Why have a nice car (2012 CRV) with bluetooth and it be imcompatible with the phone? Makes no sense. Apple needs to fix this!

Oct 26, 2012 1:40 PM in response to praveenkayby artboy11211,Turn off Wifi when using Bluetooth on iPhone5. I also turn off Wifi when on a phone call and it seems to give a clearer phone signal. Why? Heck if I know but that is what I discovered. When in doubt, always turn Wifi off and try again. I hope that helps. We've had the same hands-free issue with a 2103 CR-V of an incoming call disconnecting when picked up.

Yes, you're right - Apple always gets standard implementations wrong, and no one else does.
Industry standards go both ways - both sides of a communication need to adhere to a standard, and it's not necessarily Apple that's wrong here.

Oct 26, 2012 2:09 PM in response to praveenkayby Bondgirl21,So I called Handsfree Link while I was on my iPhone5 and sitting in my car. They walked me through the steps and I was finally able to connect. I had the hardest time setting up on my own with the iphone5 and didnt have this problem with previous iphones. I followed the same steps provided in my cars manual but just couldn't connect. Anyway, the walk thru setup with HFL is helpful. Even if you think you know or following your manual.

Nov 3, 2012 10:34 AM in response to mtcabralby JoyceF,Thank you thank you. I held down the phone icon on the Jabra Crusier2 and it worked! I would never had done so because going to Jabra they don't even recommend that. My new Iphone5 is now synced to my Jabra. Thanks again.
