Back ups have stopped

For the last two weeks, I've been getting this message:


The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/Main’s Power Mac G5 (1753).sparsebundle” is already in use.


How do I correct this problem?


Running OS 10.8.x (Mountain Lion), connected to 3T Time Capsule.


Note that the computer's drive is close to full -- maybe 1% free space?

Time Capsule, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
