MacBook Pro Retina display burn-in?

I first noticed this after my MBP [Retina] had gone to sleep, but: when returning to the login screen (since I have it set to require a password whenever the computer is idle long enough) I noticed what appeared to a very faint ghosting primarily noticeable on darker backgrounds.

After messing around with it a bit, there seems to be a fairly consistent in-display ghosting that occurs without much time at all; I was able to leave my screen on (a little above half-brightness) for about 10-15 minutes and the ghosted "burn" would be of the screen I left it on (which I deliberately reconfigured so that everything would be a new position).

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a normal thing that I just have to get used to? It's not really noticeable at all in standard use.

Maybe there is software fix of this problem? What if update video driver or system library responsible for graphic output that way it resets the image every 60th or 120th frame (how much is the framerate for static images? 120Hz?). Users won't see it probably, but that could descrease ghosting.

Probably here is engineers who can say if it is possible.

Just a quick update of my situation. After receiving 4 replacements of my original rMBP i returned it for a refund. Then bought another two - but both LG, both showed IR from the first day. Finally decided to accept one of them (the other had a dead pixel anyway) and just live with it. However it also exhibited a nasty yellow tint on one side and red on the other side of the screen (see the attached image). Is that bleeding?

So on Satuday took it to Genius and now having the screen replaced, hopefuly with a good Samsung. The part number is 661-7171, so i guess it should be Samsung?

I just cancelled my order for a 15" rMBP after having read that they're still being shipped with LG Displays, some of which exhibit IR from day one. Since the 13" rMBP is also suffering from this issue I will either wait for Haswell or get a 13* MacBook Air. I prefer the default resolution on the Air and after four revisions it's certainly a solid machine. But we should be able to anticipate a Haswell-powered 13" rMBP by next spring or summer, which will be a significant upgrade. And by that time we'll have more feedback on IR with these new models.

I hope you get a perfect rMBP! I have a Samsung screen on my rMBP purchased in July. It has a very slight yellow tint on the bottom right corner that I probably never would have noticed if I hadn't seen this forum. At first I was concerned that the screen wasn't as bright white as the ones in the Apple store, but learned that the Samsung has a warmer white and I was probably comparing it to LG screens. My brother who is more knowledgable about computers than I am was visitiing last week and said he wasn't even sure he could see the yellow tint in the bottom corner and it certainly wouldn't bother him. The rMBP is a fantastic computer. I love it and I hope you will love yours.
