Oct 29, 2012 8:40 AM in response to Gene Starwindby King_Penguin,Do you have the previous version of it somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup ? Only the current version of each app is in the store so you can't download a previous version from the store. If you do then copy your books and pdfs from the iPod to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and then delete the app from your iPod (and if you have the new version on your computer's iTunes then from there as well). Then add the old version to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library and you should then be able to sync that version to your iPod and resync your books/PDFs to it (the new version of the app will then appear in the list of available updates). Note that this isn't something that I have personally tried, but I think that it should work.

Oct 29, 2012 1:08 PM in response to King_Penguinby Gene Starwind,I had a copy of 2.1.1 in another HDD, so I dragged & dropped it into the Apps pane in iTunes. It asked me if I wanted to replace the newer version, so I chose "Replace". Then, I dragged it from the Apps collection to the iPod submenu on the left-hand gray pane. It installed and now I am waiting for it to rebuild the cache it had before.
I don't need to retransfer PDFs as I created all of them myself, or obtained them long before ever getting an iPod Touch.
