ii literally cant restore my tethered jailbroken ipod touch 4g ios 6. i click restore on itunes and then like 5 min. after, it say " there was a problem downloading the software for the iPod, Soulslayer." The network connection timed out.

Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active or try again later. I watched a pretty well known guy on youtube showing how to do it and his name is icrackuridevice. I did everything the way he did it and i soon realized that the appstore had dissapeared and i could no longer get on the appstore. So i then wanted to restore my ipod so i could back.

My internet is just fine because i can get on the safari and surf the web. i jailbroke it using redsn0w.I've tried DFU, rebooting it, uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, and even doing a system restore on the computer. PLZ HELP IN DIRE NEED OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but we cannot help you.

Not only do Apple's Terms of Use forbid us from helping with jailbroken devices, but frankly, since none of us know what the jailbreak has done to your device, then none of use know how to fix it either.

Perhaps you should contact the "well known guy on YouTube".

I suggest you to take that iPod to an Apple Store and see if tehy can do something about it. You should not have followed the "wellknownguy" Just look at his name:

    I crack ur device

He clearly cracked your ipod now. Either drive to an Apple store or set up an appointment with geniuses in the genius bar.

As far as I know, Apple Store employees are also unable to help with jailbroken devices. I'm sure the terms of their employment would prevent it.
