I have a Garageband project open, and I'm trying to drag drum loops onto a track. It used to be that they'd just fall into place and attach to the track. But today when I drag the loop is becomes stuck to the cursor and shows the little "+" icon as in "add". It doesn't let go of the loop though and it remains stuck--to the point that I have to force-quit Garageband. It even remains stuck if I move the mouse cursor away from Garageband--to the desktop, where ever. It remains stuck until I quit GB. This a very strange glitch that's never happened before. Anybody familiar with it or know how to fix it? Thanks.

What is your garageBand version? Have you updated to the latest version?

How long do you wait, before you force quit GB? If GarageBand is running out of memory, it may take some time, before it manages to drop the loop. Then It would be best to close some other apllications or to reboot the system, if that alone does not fix it.

If you cannot add loops at all, then you may have a problem with corrupted permissions or preferences; then HangTime's "oddball problem fix" may help: See the FAQ:
