Have you all heard the roamer that Apple will send out an update in 2013

It's honestly not good enough. First they send out this failed IOS 6, then we get absolutely no info on when any of the issues will be fixed.

The latest I heard from Apple was that some Financial person said that Apple was doing everything they can to fix it. A financial person. Give me a f... break.

I'm sure we have all written Apple's black hole " Feedback " and most of us have called them. And nothing is happening.

Honestly I find it harder  and  harder to understand why exactly I keep buying apple products.

There has been nothing new in side there products. They just look nicer. But that's just really it.

According to reliable sources Apple is working on a update to iOS 6 called 6.0.1. This may be released in the next few weeks.

See for example here: http://www.gizbot.com/news/apple-reportedly-planning-to-release-ios-6-0-1-in-the -next-few-weeks

Reliable source   This is just a simple copy/paste article taken from another source.

No info regarding the failed IOS 6 or the update is coming out of Apple.

I guess we should'nt expect any better from Apple. Looks to be there policy not to help there users or give us any info even when thousands of users are now so frustrated they think about changing to a different manufacture.

We Apple users are more inteligent, and we will not let Apple keep this policy.

The release after the holidays is iOS 6.1 not 6.0.1. iOS 6.1 would, presumably be a feature update. iOS 6.0.1 is just a bug-fixing update.

Sorry that I didn't have time to track down the original article for you. Use Google yourself.

What does this have to do with a stability update for iOS 6? Must every post be a rant?

Oh, I don't know about that.

If you don't like what Apple is doing call Apple or post feedback on http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

Posting on a user-only forum doesn't do much except possible annoy other users who come here for technical help.

Seems Apple do understand the level of customer dissatisfaction with iOS 6 after all...

I have an iPod 4th generation that I upgraded to iOS6 and I have WiFi issues as well.  It connects, but even though it says i'm connected, I still can't connect to the internet, iTunes, etc.  My iPod is a WiFi only, so I can see how this would run up people's 3G data since the device would naturally switch to that if it couldn't connect through WiFi.  Good thing I have WiFi only......but my wife wants to get us iPhone 5s soon.....how would I prevent the 3G data from being used if that device can't connect to WiFi as well?  Is there a setting I can switch off on that device?

@Go Sox...(btw Giants fan here!)....just curious...why would you want an iPhone 5 right now with all these bugs.  I love my phone but yahoo mail is inconsistent and loses emails in the sent folder and also people like yourself are having wifi issues.  I dunno...if it were me, I'd wait.  Having said that, hubby just bought me a 15" MacBook Pro retina display!  So who am I to talk, eh?  :P

Yeah, see, but there are two reasons why I'd get the iPhone 5....well, maybe 3.

    1.  The wife wants it.  Can't argue

    2.  Even if we got the iPhone 4 or 4S, it would still be loaded with iOS 6.  Darn.

    3.  We don't want to get the 4S, and then next year find out that they no longer want to support it with a new iOS like they did with the iPad 1.  That's a huge irritation for me.  Yes, I like all of Apple's stuff, but why in the heck are they already phasing out a product that's what?  2-3 years old?  Them already starting to indirectly move people to open their wallets again to get their new gadget to keep up with their rapid fire updates is starting to annoy me....but like you said, who am I to talk?  I'm just as much a lemming like everyone else.

I had no idea the iPad one would not be supported anymore. Do you mean that it can't run at all or it just can't upgrade to iOS6?  I have an iPad 2 and my husband has an iPad one and I never even bothered asking if his is still working.  I know what you mean about the wife though LOL because I'm one of them! We walked by the Apple Store the other day and I said, ooo look at those 15 inch MacBook Pro retina display models!  Next thing you know I have one at home!! :)

You can't update the iPad 1 to iOS 6.  So they have officially stopped supporting the iPad 1.  So lame; I've never seen a company stop supporting their product after 2-3 years.  But to Apple, it's all about new money because if you want new iOS, you need to fork up the cash for a new iPad!

Interesting,  its pretty clear if you read the point.  You seem to say Apple is 100% perfect and the rest of the wifi world is100% wrong so therefore the rest of the world needs to adhere to Apples perfect world or else not use wifi. The point is IF there are some non standard standards in the major router mfg's of the world with 802.11 then Apple needs not try to be 100% perfect to the point that their users cannot use their device. Funny how they (Apple) were "non-perfect" up until iOS 6 and everything seemed to work ok.  Then NOW they decide, hey we want to match the 802.11 spec 100% perfect and if all the wireless mfg out there are not then well to bad for our customers who try to connect to those non-perfect spec devices. BTW folks with Apple routers are having issues too so perhaps they need to update their router line to perfect 802.11 specs as well.

Now with that said, I do not think this is any of that is correct information. There is a wifi coding issue iOS6 with some devices and some router configurations, Apple is working on it. Period. To think that Apple has decided to be the "wifi police" of the world and make sure everyone else gets on board is kooky. They are not that arragant. Its simply a case of a mis coded iOS that they missed getting right. I would bet my iPhone that it will be addressed by Apple soon with an update that fixes that piece of broken code and all will be well with the world again.

I have no idea what you are talking about. You make no sense. Please read up on WiFi standards and what they mean.
