Apple uses many servers - it could be that the one your account is on is down (due to Sandy??) and the ones used by the rest of the family are not. Do you have an iOS device that you can test?
Or.... using a browser, log into icloud.com and see if you can access your data.

hi can you explain...address does not send or receive from Mac at home or iPhone.
Online over internet icloud works fine...will it be that the server has gone down?
Any news or similar enquiries?
